Four Steps To a More Successful Money Making Blog

In the last post, you read about the first four of 13 steps give to you in three posts for this week on how to make your money making blog more successful. Just to recap: find a home for your blog, define your marketing niche, update daily and acquire traffic. This post will outline the next four steps toward writing a successful blog.

Step five is to track your blog. It is very important to know how you are doing and one of the greatest virtues of the Internet is that you now have the ability to find out. There are counters out there that will allow you to track your visitors. They include StatCounter.com and Active Meter. These services are free page counters and are worth using. Some of your readers will leave comments which will let you know they were there, but others simply like to read so using such a counter will actually give you a truer idea of just how many people visit your money making blog.

Step six is to listen to your audience. If you using a page counter, you will begin to see how many people are finding your blog and how they are reaching it. If it is through search engines, you will also be able to track which keywords are being used to find you. This will help you decide which keywords you should use in your blogs and in the titles you use. Your titles should most definitely include one or more of the keywords in a way that is attention grabbing and natural. This knowledge will tell you enough about your visitors to know how to keep them coming back.

Step seven is to create multiple blogs. You can use multiple blogging accounts to attract or customers. Try different blogging services as well since some people will be more prone to check one while others will go to a different blogging site. The idea is to attract as many readers as possible.

Finally, step eight is to be short and concise. Generally, each post should be between 250 and 300 words. If you are summarizing an article, keep it brief and place to link to it in your post. Otherwise, provide your readers with information that will make them think without having to read a lot of material all at once. There are exceptions and you simply have no choice, but try to avoid lengthy posts as much as possible.
